My top 10 Flormar must haves.

As some of you may know for the last two months I have been travelling around Ireland doing Flormar masterclasses in lots of different chemists who stock the brand. Its been such an amazing opportunity for me and I have loved every minute of it. I've had so much fun and loved meeting you all who attended. I always get asked whats my personal must haves from the collection so I thought for those of you who didn't make it to the events or for those of you who just want to pick up some great makeup must haves keep reading.

(1) Double radiance primer/ Illuminating primer.
You can't go to a flormar stand and leave without ether one of these primers although you really need the two because they are amazing & here is why....

Double Radiance primer
This of course has to be my number one product. It is ideal for that summer glow or if you anything like me who loves to hold onto their summer glow all year along than your going to adore this primer. It is a beautiful bronze tinted shimmering primer. It has no chunks of glitter it just has a gorgeous sheen which makes the skin look so beautiful & healthy.

There are 5  ways I like to use this primer.
1) Under foundation as a primer to create a flawless and glowing base for foundation.
2) Mix a pump in with my foundation for a dewy sunkissed finish.
3) On its own when I dint feel like putting any makeup on ill pop this on my face and it has built in SPF 15 which protects the skin also.
4) Liquid highlighter  on top of foundation and before any powders I apply this where the light would natural hit the skin or any features you want to bring attention too. I use my fingers to do this or a sponge I find works best.
5) Body highlighting I love to use this product on my collar bones, shoulders and the front of my legs.

 Illuminating primer.

Everything all of us is looking for in a primer is the Illuminating primer! It is the prefect base for any makeup application. It contains silicone gel and silicone powder which helps to fill in an open pores and also smooth out any imperfections they skin may have.  But this primer also has Açaí berry and Green tea extracts which help to keep the skin soft and hydrated and also known to smooth fine lines. This primer will keep your makeup put all day keeping the skin matte but still nourished.

Anyone I use this on will tell me just how amazing it feels on there skin it instantly gives the skin such a natural healthy glow yet there is no shimmer in it. What I adore about this primer is the fact it helps with oil control but yet it keeps the skin hydrated. Its the prefect balance which suits every skin type!

(2) Terracotta powders & blush-on

I love the formula of the terracotta powder highlighters and blushes. My favourite to highlight shades are Dual Gold & Marble pink gold. Any of these powders are beautiful you just need to find your prefect shade but I do find the two I love are really universal especially the marble pink gold it looks beautiful on everyones skin tone. The dual gold is such good value because its spilt down the middle.
My favourite blush is touch of apricot it is such a gorgeous warm peach shade which adds such a healthy glow to the skin. It has a gorgeous sheen to it.

(3)Flormar Deluxe Cashmere lipstick stylo
I absolutely adore the formula of these lipsticks! They are matte but nourhsing on the lips. They come in 7 different shades and the 3 nudes are obviously my favourite but all of the colours are beautiful. They contain orchid complex oil & Shea butter which keeps moisture locked in. They really do last on the lips they are hands down my favourite drug store lipstick ever.

Natural beige is identical to mac stripdown lip liner. Its such a gorgeous brown nude.
Natural rosewood is very similar to kind of sexy lipstick by mac.
Absolute nude isn't like any nude I own it is a stunning pink under toned nude.
Price €5.95

(4) Triple action mascara.

This is the best selling mascara in Europe. It has argan oil and olive oil which is so nourishing on the lashes but doesn't smudge. It has a twisting wand which gives you three different types of wands. One for lenght (my fav) one for a curl & one for volume. You simple just twist the wand for the lash you want. The formula is jet black, I haven't used any other mascara since trying this one.
Price: €11

(5)Makeup Fix spray
This makeup setting spray is so good. I its contains gylcrine which makeup artists would refer to it been like a glue in makeup terms. It attracts moisture and helps everything stick to the skin which makeups your makeup stay in place all day and look fresh. I like to spray this on my foundation brush or even my beauty sponge to make everything stick.
Price €8.00

(6) Eye prefection eyeshadow primer.
I have been loving these primers lately. My personal favorite shades are shimmering champange & warm ivory. I love to use them as a primer on the lids and also for a liquid highlight as they have a gorgeous sheen to them.
Price: €5.95

(7)Mono eyeshadows.
These single eyeshadows are amazing. I honestly couldn't get over the quality of these single eyeshadows especially for a affordable brand its insane the pigment. My person favourite is the shade Orange juice its a stunning burnt orange shade. I also love using the satin in white to set the eyeshadow base. All shades are gorgeous tho as the formula is so good. Orange juice is the bright orange one in the picture and I just love it. It is very similar to a red brick from mac.
Price €3.95

(8) Gel eyeliner/brow gel.
I love the flormar gel liners. I use the black for the water liner and also for creating winged liner. It is one of the best gel liners I've used. The formula is creamy & doesn't set to quickly so it gives you time to play around with the liner and also it great if you like to smoke out your liner. 9 out of 10 people this liner never smudges on ever but if you are that one all you need to do is set this with a bit of black shadow. It hardly smudgs ever when im doing makeup but I find the people who it does smudge on are people with hooded eyes or oily lids so just a little heads up but I still adore it.

The bole brown shade is gorgeous for mature clients who like something a little softer rather than a black. It is also gorgeous as a brow gel.
Price €7.95

(9) Smooth touch foundation.
This foundation is gorgeous on everyone! It is medium coverage but it is buildable. It has an SPF 20 which makes it prefect for day time and it is dewy which is gorgeous. If your looking for a night time foundation which has more of a full coverage the prefect coverage foundation is prefect! It also has a lower SPF so it wont give any flash back in photos.
Price €11.95

(10) Lipliners.

Last but not least these lipliners are amazing!! My favorites are obviously the nudes but any of these lipliners are amazing! they remind me of the formula of the mac ones. I honestly cant recommend these enough. You have no reason not to venture out of your comfort zone and try another colour seen as how cheap they are.

June Loves & let downs 2016

This is a new kind of blog post for me although I hate been negitive but I do love when reading someones honest opinion on when a product just doesn't work for them. So I thought a love and let down blog post would be much more interesting then just my regular favourites. Every month as a makeup artist I'm constantly trying new beauty products some of which you never hear of because they just didnt do it for me. Hate is a strong word but if a product just wasn't up to the mark for me I am going to included it here and let you know excatly why it didnt. Hopefully there will be more loves than dislikes but its important that I am completely honest with you.

Loves

Victoria secert sprays & body lotions.
I have been obsessed with these Victoria secrets sprays all month. I bought two bottles of the Pure seduction one because I love it so much. Its such a gorgeous fruity smell prefect for summer. Its hands down my favourite spray.
The blue bottle Aqua kiss smells just so fresh like cotton.
The light pink pure day dream smells so sweet like candy floss.
Its one of those things you'll just have to smell for yourself to fall in love. I just love carrying these around in my bag and literally shower myself in them, prefect for everyday when you don't want to wear your expensive perfumes.

I also have been so obbessed with the body lotions to match the scents. Firstly, I am a body lotion horder. I am addicted to buying body butters and creams been hydrated and smelling good is everyones goals right? So its no surprise I am in love with these I picked up pure seduction and pure daydream. I've actually never smelled nicer smelling body lotions then these. They feel kind of sticky at first when applying but the asborb so quickly into the skin which I like because you can just get dressed and go. The smell of these stay on your skin longer than the sprays. I like to apply the lotion and then spray the matching fragrance on top. Trust me you need a spray and matching body lotion you wont regret it.

I got both in McCabes Pharmacy.

Luxe cheek finish brush
This brush is amazing when it comes to contouring with powders. Its just prefect to give defintion without looking to harsh. The hairs are so soft and tappers with the longest hairs been at the centre and the shorter hairs been at the outter edges.

Inglot AMC face and body illuminator #61
I am obbessed with this product. I went out and bought another two bottles thats how amazing it is.
I like to use it under foundation on myself and clients. When first putting it out the skin you man feel a tiny tiny bit like the tin man, but trust me this just gives the skin the most beautiful glow from within look. It gives a flawless complexion with a healthy glow. For dry clients ill apply this nearly all over the skin. On oily clients I tend to avoid the t-zone area and just apply it to the usual areas we would add light.
I cant recomend this enough this the shade is a prefect universal shade.

Peaches and cream lipgloss bambi
I have followed peaches and cream makeup for years now! I've always been a fan of their work so when I found out you could get their makeup on beauty bay I just had to try something. I picked up their bambi lipgloss for my kit. I love how hygenic these glosses are because you just squeeze a little out as needed so good for a freelance kit also loving having squeeze tubes because you can cut them to get every bit out rather than the waste that does be in a glass tube.

Myself and alot of my clients tend to adore a nude lip and this gloss is a gorgeous brown with a pink under tone which goes with lots of liners. Its almost like a creme gloss and feels hydrating on. I love this and will definetly be buying more.

Inglot HD foundation
I have read mixed reviews on this foundation so I was a bit nervous but excited to try it out. My friend who works in Inglot told me I needed to try this out as the photo finish is incredicble and that it is so long wearing on the skin. I had to give it a go for my clients as thats excatly what they are looking for from a makeup application.

Straight away using it I knew I would love it. It gives great coverage without looking cakey, there is no flash back as it contains no SPF and the price point is much more affordable then a mac foundation. I have been using it on lots of different skin types over the last month and honestly it does work best on oily skin types. Its an oily girls best friend. For dry or mature skin I mix it with mac face and body to give it a more dewy finish I would also apply an illumatining primer and only set the t-zone area.

My clients have told me that this foundation lasted flawlessly on them all day & night and for me its a winner. I picked up shades 73 which is similar to a mac NC25 and a 77 which is similar to a mac NC40 the however not as yellowed based as the mac one they have a slightly more nutreal undertone.

Let downs

Sadly this falls into the let down section of this months loves and let downs. I really wanted to absolutely love it but i've too many mixed feelings on it. When I first opened this pallet I was in love like its beautiful, the swatches where amazing and the formula felt gorgeous.
However, Then the first time I used the pallet the shadows just fell flat on my eyes and I found I had to work hard for colour pay off on some shadows. Some shadows where incredible and so pigmented but others where a little less than average.
First attempt using only the pallet.

I wasnt happy with the first look I created but I thought I'd give the pallet another go.
But I did use my bronzer as a transition shade to add a bit of warmth to the look.
Second attempt using pallet
I was much happier with the second time using the pallet but there not the most amazing eyeshadows that I've used I just don't think they lived up to the hype for me because so many makeup artists raves about them. Dont get me wrong for the price point its amazing and the range of colours you get is great. But I am just spoiled with the qualitly of oher brands. I will deffiently use this pallet mixed with other of my shadows in future but I don't think Ill be buying any more morphe eyeshadows.

If your on a budget and your curious I wouldn't tell you not to get it. I think these pallets are good for people starting out with makeup or even for personal use but I just wouldn't rate the quality of the pallet as highly as some of my other shadows. I prefer quality over quanity personally i'd rather four amazing eyeshadows than 35 mixed quality. Saying that for the same price your paying for this whole pallet you would only get 2 mac eyeshadow pans.

My favorite single eyeshadows.

This pallet is my holy grail pallet. If I where to only have one eyeshadow pallet it would be this one.

It is a mix of Makeup geek, Fuschia and Mac. The main bulk of the pallet is however Makeup geek. Makeup geek are hands down my favourite eyeshadow formula of all time..(which your probably sick of me saying but its true) I do have an indepth blog post on my makeup geek collection which you can read here.

This pallet is alot of neutrals, I know how boring but there are little pops of colour in there okay don't judge.

It has my three favourite highlight shades for the eyes.
White lies which is a matte white. I like to use this too set my eyeshadow base the white makes all eyeshadows more intense.
Nylon which is an intense frosty yellow based highlight, my all time favorite highlight. Nylon is such an amazing universal highlight it can be used for the brow bone, inner corner or as a face higlight. A little goes a longggg way.
Shimma shimma, slightly less intense with pink undertones. I used these shades to highlight the brow bone and inner corner and sometimes on the lid its very beautiful.

It has peach smoothie & creme brule my go to and trusty transition shades for a warm toned eye.
It also has cupcake the prefect transition for pink, burgandy or purple eyes.

Every pallet needs at least two warm reddy brown colours like Makeup geek (MUG) frappe & cocoa bear.

& of course you need your darker colours for adding defintion like: MUG americano very similar to a mac embark shadow. Its a dark brown with a slightly purple undertone.
MUG Corrupt which is simply a matte black.
Cremebrule, cocoa bear , americano & corrupt

Pops of purples and plums you need mac sketch, MUG bitten & curfew

Creme burle, bitten, curfew , sketch & corrupt.

It contains just the right amount of foiled shadows
Makeup geek: In the spotlight a beautiful champagne colour houdini a gorgeous bottle green duo chorme colour.
Grandstand A beautiful bronze colour which looks beautiful on all skin tones.

& shimmer shadows like mac coppering , expensive pink and amber lights.
Amber lights on the lid.

It also has pops of oranges which I adore.
Mac red brick & MUG chickadee a prefection to add a pop of warmth and brightness to any look. Prefect for summer.
Chickadee as transition shade

I can create lots of eye looks with just one pallet so its so handy for on the go!

Where you can buy the products?

Fuschia:buy here €5.50
Mac: buy here or in Brown Thomas €16.50 or €10.00 as single.

My makeup collection: Inglot cosmetics.

Inglot is such an amazing brand. It is so affordable for such good quality. Some of items in my collection I would consider my overall must have makeup items. My kit is like 50% inglot I am obbsessed with the brand.

Freedom system..

The freedom system is a great idea which I love about inglot because most of there products are in the freedom system. Which means you just buy refills rather than repurchasing the packaging all the time.  They have lots of different sized pallets, starting at three slots. The eyeshadows literally do not budge from the pallet which is amazing for clumsy people like me or travelling. (They now have a magnet for €5  to remove the shadows thank god because it was so hard to get the numbers of the eyeshadows before)

Eyeshadows
Inglot Eye shadows wouldn't be my hands down favourite formula of eye shadows if I am completely honest but that doesn't mean they aren't great they are. Don't get me wrong for the price they are amazing quality but I am spoiled by Makeup geek and for me they don't compare especially because they are the same price. Having said that the price of these eye shadows are amazing, they are much larger then most and I have a good few which I constantly reach for so don't take me up the wrong way they are really good shadows. I think what I love about them is that they have such an amazing range of colours! I have 14 of their shadows in total. I would go through the numbers for you but I physicaly cant get the eye shadows out of the pallet to see the number. This is a good thing because the shadows are like magnetically super glued to the pallet so they will never fall out on you and smash. Bad for me because its so hard to tell you my favourites. They do have a magnetic eyeshadow remover for €5. I will get that & up date the blog. All I know is the shadow 55 is my favourite shadow of theirs, it is a Burgundy shadow with flecks of gold but its just so beautiful. My second favourite is their matte yellow shadow 60, alot of people will be scared of this eyeshadow but its sooo beautiful it can be used as a transition shade or as a pop of colour. Trust me you will love this shade just don't let it scare you.
Price: €6 each.

Translucent loose setting powder #216

The setting powder from Inglot is just your typical setting powder. Like most loose translucent powder it doesn't give an extra coverage it just sets the makeup. I like how this powder doesn't make the skin too matte, it just gets rids of excess shine and leaves the skin soft to touch. Nothing really wows me about this powder. Its a good powder but nothing different than I've used before. It does its job but I don't think I will be repurchasing if I am honest. (The tub you get is soo much larger then my tini tiny tub, I got this in my college kit. I don't even think they sell them this small!)

Price:€16.00

Gel liner #77

This is my favourite gel liner ever. I can't sing its praises enough. It is jet black, it dries to a matte finish. I love using this on my self & on clients. If your looking for a gel liner that won't budge then this is for you! I like to use a pointed liner brush too apply it.

The only downside is that its hard to remove but that wouldn't turn me off this product in the slightest I just recommend using a good eye makeup remover.

If your on the hunt for a good gel liner, stop looking because you wont find better! My holy grail liner.

Price:€16.00

Inglot Under Makeup Base:
Unfortunately I can't personally used this primer I have really sensitive skin & this primer breaks me out. I used to use it years ago & I loved it but my skin grew sensitive too it. I do however use it on clients. Its just a great basic primer for everyones skin type so prefect to have in your kit. It just creates a base for the rest of your makeup. Leaving any oil areas matte without over drying the skin. A little goes along way you don't want the skin to feel slippy. I like to let this settle onto a clients skin while I do there eye makeup.

Price: €22.00

Sculpting powders

I love these powders. I used them on clients all the time. The highlight shade is great for setting the undereyes it leaves the under eye nice and bright without been cakey.

The blush is a gorgeous coral shade really gorgeous pigment from it a little goes along way.

The contour shade is nice but I will only used this on very fair clients as it has a very grey undertone to it. Which is ideal for fair skin and can be hard to find that in a contour shade.

Price: €10.00

Freedom lipsticks

This lipsticks both have a cream finish meaning they have a slightly glossy finish. I always use a lip liner with these. The pinky nude is my favourite. These are brilliant for a makeup artists kit or evening if you travel alot and the price is so good.

Price: €6.00

Duraline

This is another one of my must have beauty items. I think everyone needs this product in their makeup bag, any makeup artist would agree. This product has so many uses.
  • It can turn any powder into a liquid
  • It can turn any shadow into a lipstick
  • It can give life back to dried up gels.
  • It can remove any makeup mistakes.
  • Clean gel liner from your brushes.
  • Give more slip to gel liner.
  • Stick glitters/ loose pigments to the eyes.
The list really is endless I'm sure that there is even more tricks with this amazing product. It is definitely a must have.
It will last one ages. I use mine constantly and its lasted me a year.

Price: €12.00

Sparkle dust #02

Another must have inglot product is there sparkle dust. This give such a wonderful highlight. I used this on my cheeks, cupids bow, bridge of the nose and even on my body.

It is one of my all time favourite highlighters, but because it is a loose powder with glitter as much as I love highlighter you have to be light handed. I just start off with a little & build up the highlight.

Price:€20.00

Pigments

I dont understand why I dont have more of these pigments. I think inglot are actually one of the best brands for pigments. I genuninely need to invest it more because they are amazing!

This is such a gorgeous blue toned purple shade depending what shadows you pair this with really can change the colour its beautiful.

Pigment #85
This pigment is sooo like Mac blue brown pigment.  It is beautiful it is a Burgundy brown base with petrol blue/green glitter its soooo gorgeous. I like to apply this using duraline. I love how little fallout comes from these pigments. This is one of my all time favourite pigments I love it! So cool & unusual a must have in my opinion.

Pigment #81
I always gravatate towards cranberrys and this shade is just soooo beautiful. Its a prefect autum/winter shade just a beautiful pigment.

Pigment #
When I think of bronze this is excatly what I think of its the most beautiful bronze shade one of my favourites! Its just gorgeous on blue eyes.

Pigment #115

This is such a gorgeous pink champagne shade with reflects of gold and slivers. It looks different depending on what colours are paired with it. I love this shade its one of my most used pigments.

Price: €15.00

Body sparkles #68

These are some of my favorite glitters that I own they are so fine and easy to work with.
I just adore this colour its a bronze base with gold & pink reflects its soooo beautiful. The only down side is unlike the pigments there can be alot a bit of fallout so i'd advise doing your makeup first. I stick this down with a tiny bit of duo glue or even duraline but duo glue does work the best.

Body sparkles #49

This is one of my favorite glitters that I own its such a gorgeous gold shade that catches the light beautifully.

YSM foundation:
I have four shade in this foundation which I got in my kit for college.

Shade: 41, 49, 50, 51

I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. Its a cream based foundation which is supposed to mattify the skin.I actually love the foundation on myself. But when using it on clients I realised that it only suits certain skin types when its on its own. It became chalky on some skins and oily on others which was strange, On some skin types however this foundation was gorgeous especially older skin. So I didn't want to give up on it so easy. Now when using it on clients I will mix it in with different foundations and I works perfectly.
Price: €20.00

HD foundation
I love this foundation! I use it on lots of my clients. I find these foundations works best for oily skin types, however for drier skin I will mix ether a dewy foundation with it or an illuminator and it works amazing too.

As you can see in the picture above it picks up fab on camera with no need for filters or edits. I love this and so does my clients. I have shade 73 and 77 and I tend to mix them to get a prefect match for my clients I will be picking up more colours for my kit because they are amazing.
Price: €33.00

Under eye concealer
This concealer is lovely! It is creamy, lightweight and hydrating which I love as I've got dry skin so I hate when concealers dry me out. I use this on clients with dry and mature skin but wouldn't us it on oiler clients. I always set this concealer like any other with a powder.
I find this shade works on lots of skin tones.
Price:€16.00

AMC face & body illuminator #61
I am obsessed with this product. It is such a gorgeous universal liquid illuminator. On myself and younger clients I like to apply this all over the face mixed in with or after primer. For more mature or oily clients I will apply after foundation and before powder in certain areas where I want the light to hit the face. I do this on mature clients as it does have a shimmer to it and wouldn't want it to settle into fine lines. On oily clients they prefect to have certain areas mattifyied so I like to stick to places where they want a glow rather than an all over glow. This is also beautiful mixed in with foundation for a gorgeous dewy finished.
under foundation for glow from within look.

I really hoped you enjoyed this makeup collection blog. Inglots is only of my all time favorite makeup brand, and I hope that my inglot collection just keeps expanding.
